What’s more fun than making movies!? Learn the fundamentals of movie making and stop motion animation. Start with some set design basics then learn multiple stop motion techniques including paper, LEGO, claymation, and using real people in stop motion shorts. Put your new skills to work creating your own mini flicks! Parents will be invited to come a bit early on the last day of camp for a stop motion film festival.
Students are welcome to bring their own or a family phone for this class. We use Stop Motion Studio, a free iOS/Android app. (There is an in app purchase that opens up more features but we’ll focus on the free features.) Students are also welcome to use Einstein’s Workshop phones if they don’t bring their own.

Students enrolled in both the morning and afternoon sessions should bring a lunch. Lunch and Play Supervision is included at no additional charge for full day students. Half day students may bring a lunch and come at noon by adding Lunch and Play Supervision.
Pick up at 4:00 PM, or pick up by 5:00 PM, or 5:45 PM with extended play!

Our classes span multiple STEAM categories, encouraging students to combine learning and techniques from many disciplines in ways they don’t usually encounter in school.
